Show Me Summit on Aging & Health 2025 (CFP)

September 8-10, 2025~Holiday Inn Executive Center ~ Columbia, Missouri

Deadline for Proposal Submission: March 15, 2025

Please take a moment to review the following information before you begin your submission.  

Proposals are currently being accepted for the Show Me Summit on Aging & Health 2025, which is sponsored by the Missouri Association of Area Agencies on Aging. For consideration by the review committee, please complete the online form and all submission requirements no later than March 15, 2025.

General Information

• Presentations should reflect new and original work.  Presentations will be 50 minutes in length and should include time for questions and answers.
• Titles and descriptions must reflect content related to expertise in the field of aging services. The planning committee reserves the right to modify titles and descriptions as needed.
• Applications must be completed online.
• Applicants are encouraged to diversify their presentation delivery and to utilize presentation techniques that increase participant engagement.

Evaluation Criteria

• Sessions will be 50 minutes.
• Address conference target audience and challenge attendees to think creatively.
• Potential for relevance and replication across the State.
• Feature experienced speaker(s) with expertise.
• Priority will be given to innovate ideas and discussion of national trends.

Submission Requirements (please have ready before starting the submission process)

• A completed online application
• Presenter/Panelist contact information.  
• Key Point of Contact Information - Lead presenter will receive all correspondence.
• Presenter Bio - Brief (2-3 sentence) biographical sketch of each presenter (to be used in conference materials) (3 presenters max)
• Session Title (to be used in Summit Program) (10-word max)
• Short Session Description (125-word max - to be used in Summit Program)
• Longer session description (250-word - committee review and decision-making)
• An application with titles and descriptions will need to be submitted for each presentation)

Presenter Agreements

• Presenters will be responsible for their own Summit expenses, including travel, meals, lodging, etc.
• Presenters agree to pay registration rates if attending any portion of the Summit other than their own session. A discounted rate for presenters is available.
• Presentation PowerPoints and other materials are expected to be provided to Ma4 prior to the Summit.
• One Key Point of Contact will be designated per session; this key point of contact will share communication from Ma4 with their co-presenters or presenters on their panel.

Important Dates and Deadlines:

• Call for proposal applications deadline: March 15, 2025
• Proposal selection notification announcements: April 1, 2025
• Conference dates: September 8-10, 2025
