Show Me Summit on Aging & Health 2024 (CFP)

Please take a moment to review the following information before you begin your submission.  

Proposals are currently being accepted for the Show Me Summit on Aging & Health 2024, which is sponsored by the Missouri Association of Area Agencies on Aging. For consideration by the review committee, please complete the online form and all submission requirements no later than April 15, 2024.

General Information

• Presentations should reflect new and original work.  Presentations will be 50 minutes in length and should include time for questions and answers.
• Titles and descriptions must reflect content related to expertise in the field of aging services. The planning committee reserves the right to modify titles and descriptions as needed.
• Applications must be completed online.
• Applicants are encouraged to diversify their presentation delivery and to utilize presentation techniques that increase participant engagement.

Evaluation Criteria

• Sessions will be 50 minutes.
• Address conference target audience and challenge attendees to think creatively.
• Have potential for relevance across the State.
• Feature experienced speaker(s) with expertise.
• Priority will be given to innovate ideas and discussion of national trends.

Submission Requirements (please have ready before starting the submission process)

• A completed online application
• Presenter/Panelist contact information.  
• Key Point of Contact Information - Lead presenter will receive all correspondence.
• Presenter Bio - Brief (2-3 sentence) biographical sketch of each presenter (to be used in conference materials) (3 presenters max)
• Session Title (to be used in conference materials) (10-word max)
• Session Description, Target Audience and Objectives (maximum 250 words) (an application with titles and descriptions will need to be submitted for each presentation)

Presenter Agreements

• Presenters will be responsible for their own Summit expenses, including travel, meals lodging, etc.
• Presenters agree to pay registration rates if attending anything other than workshops scheduled and/or the exhibit hall on the day of their presentation. A discounted rate for presenters is available.
• Presentation PowerPoints and other materials are expected to be provided to Ma4 prior to the Summit.
• One Key Point of Contact will be designated per session; this key point of contact will share communication from Ma4 to their com-presenters or presenters on their panel.

Important Dates and Deadlines:

• Call for proposal applications deadline: April 15, 2024
• Proposal selection notification announcements: May 2024
• Conference dates: September 9-11, 2024
